This webinar by LINK Houston and the Kinder Institute for Urban Research explores the nexus between transit and housing.

Where does public transportation overlap with existing affordable housing in Harris County and the City of Houston? Where are there gaps between these two critical parts of people’s lives? This webinar explores the findings of our research and present new tools for practitioners. The webinar will also include a discussion of policy steps that can better connect people from their homes to opportunities such as jobs and school.


This program is eligible for 1.5 CM credits from the American Planning Association.

To effectively address the affordability crisis in Houston, local decision-makers and individuals must consider the combined costs of housing and transportation and their impact on overall affordability.
