The Houston Education Research Consortium (HERC), a research center of the Kinder Institute for Urban Research at Rice University, and the Houston Independent School District (HISD) are working to convene community leaders from organizations around the Houston-area who provide services and support to students and families around a variety of needs.

During this event, findings from a recent survey of HISD student and family needs will be shared. Breakout sessions will be organized around a series of key areas of need in the district, such as health, housing, basic needs, and extracurricular supports. These discussions will focus on connecting community leaders with HISD’s student support and wraparound staff to explore ways your organization might be able to partner with HISD to address key areas of need.
