We know from the Kinder Houston Area Survey what residents think of Houston. One of their biggest concerns is traffic, but they're not so worried about crime. Record numbers of Houstonians say their city is improving, and overwhelmingly, they say they'd recommend Houston as a place to live.
But what do Houstonians have to say about their neighborhoods?
I went around town and asked Houstonians from three vastly different communities two questions: What do you like about your neighborhood, and what would you change?
Some responses were common (I'm looking at you, traffic). Others were unique to the neighborhood. The common factor? All the answers described Houston's as a city defined by its diversity, disparity and people.
Now, it's your turn. Tell us what neighborhood you live in, what you like about it and what you would change. Tweet us at @RiceKinderInst or comment on our Facebook page.
