The Kinder Institute for Urban Research and United Way of Greater Houston's Coffee & Quality Case Study program works with designated United Way organizations to 1) identify ways to build and bolster the organization's current data-collecting practices, 2) use data to understand and improve program outcomes, and 3) elevate generalizable insights that can support the work of other nonprofits.
This second case study focuses on Alexander Jewish Family Service, a social service nonprofit working with individuals of all ages located in southwest Houston. The study seeks to to better understand Alexander JFS's service administration, including which of its services were provided most commonly, how many of its clients received multiple services and the extent to which clients were connected with services across departments.
Findings and lessons learned were also shared during a webinar hosted by the three organizations.
