Yujie Hu is an Assistant Professor of Spatial Networks in the Department of Geography at the University of Florida. His research interests focus on the development and applications of GIS, spatial analysis, network analysis and visualization techniques in urban systems and public policy implications. The subjects of his research include transportation, human mobility and accessibility, public health, crime, and human-environment interactions. He is a recipient of the Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards from the Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU).

Hu earned his Ph.D. in Geography from Louisiana State University in 2016. Before joining the University of Florida, Hu worked at the University of South Florida as an Assistant Professor (2017 - 2019) and the Kinder Institute as a Research Fellow (2016 - 2017).
