Wendie Choudary is a research fellow for the Urban Disparity and Opportunity Program at Rice University's Kinder Institute for Urban Research. Her research interests focus on social demographics, housing issues, urban sociology, immigrant integration and community inequality issues. Choudary is a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at University at Albany – State University of New York. She earned her master's in sociology from the University of Arkansas. Prior to joining the Kinder Institute, Choudary worked for the U.S. Courts in Washington, D.C. as a statistician. Choudary also worked for the U.S. Census Bureau and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
