Han "John" Park is a research fellow in the Urban Development, Transportation and Placemaking program at Rice University's Kinder Institute for Urban Research. His research fields are affordable housing programs, real estate economics, transportation planning, and hazard reduction and recovery. He has considerable expertise in spatial and statistical methodologies using GIS and Stata to analyze a wide range of urban issues. Park is an urban planning scholar who received urban planning degrees from Texas A&M University (Ph.D.), the University of Texas at Austin (MS), and Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea (MS and BS).
