Dian Nostikasari is a former research fellow with the Development, Transportation and Placemaking team at Rice University's Kinder Institute for Urban Research. Her research focuses on spatial disparities in metropolitan areas, with an emphasis on issues such as transportation equity, health, environmental justice and community development. She engages in interdisciplinary approaches to making stronger connections between the production of the built environment and access to socioeconomic opportunities and other dimensions of the lived experience. Nostikasari earned her Ph.D. in urban planning and public policy from the University of Texas at Arlington. She was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Texas Arlington, College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs (CAPPA).
