Christopher Bertaut is the development specialist for Rice University's Kinder Institute for Urban Research, managing a portfolio of projects and events that enable the institute to provide a seamless experience for contributors and stakeholders. Bertaut has worked at Rice University since 2015, previously supporting alumni volunteer initiatives and a dynamic group of fundraisers with the Rice Annual Fund. Outside of the Kinder Institute, Bertaut volunteers for a number of organizations throughout Houston and enjoys exploring the city using bike share and public transit. He received his Master of Public Administration degree with a specialization in nonprofit management from the University of Houston and his Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Sam Houston State University.
