Amelyn Ng is an Australian architect, researcher, and Assistant Professor in Residence at the Rhode Island School of Design. She was previously a 2019-2021 Wortham Fellow at Rice Architecture. Situated somewhere between architecture, media, and infrastructure, Amelyn's research and design work seeks to untype architectural formats, systems, pedagogies, and practices, toward more inclusive urban environments. She has received grants from the Rice COVID Research Fund and the Humanities Research Center, and her writing has appeared in e-flux Architecture, Journal of Architectural Education, Critical Planning Journal, PLAT, VOLUME, and the Kinder Institute’s Urban Edge platform.
