Alex Ferreyra is a higher education digital marketer with a background in writing for national and international publications. He began his career in New York City after getting his degree in Communication at Fordham University. After editing and writing for publications covering technology and entertainment, Ferreyra returned to his hometown of Los Angeles. He engaged his passion for film and television, working as a screenwriter and a writing assistant on the show House M.D. While there, he also worked for the Screen Actors Guild on EEO and Diversity initiatives.

New York came calling again, and Ferreyra returned to journalism, working in editorial staff positions for The Movies Magazine, Positive Thinking Magazine and as an editor at, a daily Latinx sports blog co-owned by Gawker Media. Ferreyra’s content has been picked up and republished by CBSNews, GigaOm, and more.

Working as a professional blogger during the social media boom provided a natural transition to social media marketing, content creation and digital marketing. He’s handled digital marketing for two universities, including California State University, Northridge (CSUN) and Fordham University. While at CSUN, he grew the university’s official Facebook page to be the fifth-largest of all California universities.

On the weekends, he likes to spend time with his wife Heather and his pup Teddy. He enjoys good movies, sports and a nice steak.
