Welcome to PSERC

The Program for the Study of Ethnicity, Race, and Culture is a campus-wide program of Rice University's Kinder Institute for Urban Research. Our program is dedicated to advancing the intellectual community of scholars whose work examines the relevance of race in all its dimensions. PSERC will accomplish its mission by serving as an intellectual resource to the university, supporting the graduate students who investigate race-related issues, acting as a convener and facilitator of interdisciplinary research collaborations, and enhancing the visibility of scholarly work on race.
